AI agents (MCP)
MailSolid speaks MCP, the protocol AI assistants use to read and act in other apps. Your assistant can read the health of your domains, your DMARC sources and your alerts, and do a few safe actions for you.
Who can do it: any member can connect an assistant to read. The actions ask for the write permission and an owner or admin of the workspace.
Connect an assistant
Section titled “Connect an assistant”- In your assistant, add a custom connector with the address
https://mailsolid.com/mcp. - It opens MailSolid: sign in if you have to, choose the workspace and press Allow.
- Back in the assistant, ask, for example, “Which of my domains need attention?”.
If your assistant does not sign in by itself, use a personal token: in My account, section AI agents (MCP), press Create token, choose the workspace, give it a name and, if it must make changes, turn on Also let it make changes; then copy it. We show it only once and keep only a fingerprint of it.
What it can do
Section titled “What it can do”- Read: the workspace and its usage, the domains and their health, the alerts, the DMARC summary and sources, monitoring, the real tests and MTA-STS.
- Act (with write): analyse a domain (it counts against your plan like in the console), watch or stop watching a domain, mark alerts as read and create a real test.
It cannot delete anything, pay, manage the team, change integrations, the brand or a hosted DMARC policy. Everything it does goes through the same checks as the console and shows in the Activity log.
Revoke access
Section titled “Revoke access”In My account, AI agents (MCP), press Revoke next to the token, or Disconnect next to the app under Connected apps. It stops working at once.
For developers
Section titled “For developers”The API that the assistant uses is described at https://mailsolid.com/v1/openapi.json (OpenAPI 3.1). A token makes up to 600 requests per hour.
